The architects responsible for ECCI's new building at High School Yards have won Building of the Year in the Edinburgh Architectural Awards.

It is the sixth time Malcolm Fraser Architects have won the award.

Architects Calum Duncan and Emma Faulkner accept the award with ECCI's Annabel Cooper.

Judges were impressed by the building's unique blend of new and old, links to the community and green credentials.

ECCI was also up for the Wood Award and Regeneration and Conservation Award. The shortlisted buildings for the main award were:

Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation - Malcolm Fraser Architects
Orchard Neuk - A449 Ltd
The Edinburgh Drinking Water Project - BDP
