15 November 2017

ECCI Director Andy Kerr recently spoke to the Irish Citizens' Assembly about how Scotland is working to achieve it's climate change ambitions.

The Irish Citizens' Assembly is a deliberative democracy exercise, placing the citizen at the heart of important legal and policy issues facing Irish society today.

Andy drew lines back to before the 2009 Scottish Climate Change Act, and how Scotland's leading role has built on the interest in developing economic benefit – inward investment and jobs - from renewable energy. Watch a video of his speech or read a transcript.

Andy was also interviewed by Holyrood magazine to share insights on how Scotland is preparing for the R&D challenges of the future. Read the article online.
