ECCI is recruiting a core project team to manage the Centre’s brand new £1m Smart Accelerator project.

The team will consist of Project Manager, Marketing Officer and Administration Assistant.

Smart Accelerator (http://smartacceleratorscotland.org) aims to accelerate the development and acceleration of major smart city and sustainable island projects in Scotland, based on international good practice and is geared towards integrating SMEs and academic expertise to maximise sustainable local economic development.

This 18 month ERDF funded project is a collaborative project involving multiple public sector agencies and city authorities across Scotland including the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, SCDI and the University of Edinburgh.

Project Administrator

We are looking for an outstanding project administrator to administer ECCI’s £1m Smart Accelerator project, which is a collaborative project involving multiple public sector agencies and city authorities across Scotland. The post-holder will be at the heart of this high profile project, and must have experience of managing relationships across multiple stakeholders and project administration. 

We are looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic administrator with excellent communication, organization and IT skills, who is able to cope with a busy workload and make decisions under pressure with good humour, and who wishes to be part of an excellent team with opportunity for future employment beyond the project end date. The post-holder will preferably have experience of administering EU (ERDF) projects and experience of using financial databases and processes.

Interviews are likely to take place in mid-June, with the post-holder in place as soon as possible thereafter. This is a fixed term post till 31 March 2015 with the possibility of extension.

Marketing Officer:

The post-holder will oversee all marketing and communications for this high profile project, and must have experience of developing and implementing a communication and marketing plan.

We are looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic marketing officer with excellent communication, organization and IT skills, who is able to cope with a busy workload and make decisions under pressure with good humour, and who wishes to be part of an excellent team with opportunity for future employment beyond the project end date.

Interviews are likely to take place in mid-June, with the post-holder in place as soon as possible thereafter. This is a fixed term post ending 31 March 2015 but with the possibility of extension.

Project Manager

We are looking for an outstanding project manager to manage and coordinate ECCI’s £1m Smart Accelerator project, which is a collaborative project involving multiple public sector agencies and city authorities across Scotland. The post-holder will oversee the work of all project staff – including external contractors – and financial resources for this high profile project. The post-holder must have experience of managing a small team, and of working and managing multi-agency projects and partnerships relating to energy, ICT or mobility. 

We are looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic project manager who can deliver results, and who has excellent communication, marketing, organization and IT skills, and wishes to be part of an excellent team. The post-holder must be able to cope with a busy workload, deal sensitively with stakeholder demands, and make decisions under pressure with good humour. Evidence of being able to work independently and with minimal supervision is a must.

Interviews are likely to take place in mid-June, with the post-holder in place as soon as possible thereafter. This is a fixed term post to 31 March 2015 with the possibility of extension.
