12 March 2018

ECCI Director Andy Kerr has been elected to the Board of Scottish Renewables, the leading professional association for renewable energy in Scotland.

Scottish Renewables is the voice of renewable energy in Scotland, and works to realise the full economic, social and environmental benefits of renewable energy for Scotland.

Andy will offer insight and expertise around the role of renewables in the energy transition, particularly the role of people, of digital, of integrating mobility with heat and power, and of local “smart” energy systems.

Claire Mack, Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, said: “Our energy industry is going through enormous changes as it decarbonises, and it’s important that we recognise all the challenges and opportunities those changes will present.

“Scottish Renewables is committed to representing all parts of the renewable energy industry and Andy’s experience is crucial to that. His expertise and experience in innovation will be very valuable as the industry builds our new energy system. We’re delighted to have someone of his calibre on our Board.”
