EIE 15 - Scotland's biggest and best investor showcase

15 May 2015

'Engage Invest Exploit' burst onto the international investment stage in Edinburgh for an eigth year running last night - undoubtedly the biggest, boldest and most vibrant event yet.

Kicking off from humble beginnings in a university room in 2008, ENGAGE INVEST EXPLOIT (EIE) is now Scotland’s premier annual investor showcase of high-quality technology companies including spin-outs from Scotland’s world leading universities and early stage companies from the wider entrepreneurial eco-system.

The showcase focuses on cutting edge technology companies across Life Sciences, Energy and Information Technology, and is brought to you by specialist partners within these sectors.

ECCI residents CarboMap, Town Rock Energy and Urban Farming Company all pitched live to the 600 strong audience in a bid to secure investment.

EIE attracts over 160 investors from Scotland, the UK, Europe, Asia and America, and includes corporate venturers, venture capitalists, business angel syndicates and high net worth individuals. It has established a ‘must attend’ reputation in the Global calendar giving investors and serial technology entrepreneurs the opportunity to listen to and meet with a large number of Scotland’s high-potential, high-quality companies in a short space of time.

Pitch of the day was won by Dehumaniser - a software standalone vocal processor that allows the production of creature / monster sounds, efficiently in real time.
