SME EnviroApp Final this Friday

The final judging day of the SME EnviroApp competition will be held this Friday at the Microsoft offices, Waverley Gate, Edinburgh.
Chair of Scotland’s 2020 Climate Group Ian Marchant said:
"I would be delighted if you could join me and my fellow judges on Friday 31st August for what promises to be an exciting event. Earlier this year we launched a national competition to encourage app developers to come up with a really exciting environmental app to help engage SMEs’ in Scotland in the climate change agenda.
Following an initial judging session, we have narrowed a strong field of applicants down to the final 6 who will present their ideas to the Judging Panel on the 31st.
The judging will take place from 10.00am to 15:00pm and will be a testing day for the finalists and for my fellow judges; David Sigsworth Chairman of SEPA. John Mason who is Director of Business at the Scottish Government and Lars Lindstedt, Head of Developer Platform Evangelism at Microsoft UK.
You are welcome to join us for the whole day, or if you prefer, you can join us around 15:00pm where there will a summary of the six pitches from the finalists to you, our guests, before we announce the winner around 17:00pm. I hope you will be able to join us in toasting the winner and a bit of networking with all the finalists till 18:00pm"
