Achieving net zero: the skills challenge

Industry leadership, clearer communication on skills transferability and government support to drive a green economy were key themes coming out of discussions at the Skills Development Scotland and Scotsman Green Skills conference (Tuesday 4 October).

Hosted by ECCI Director, Prof Dave Reay, the sold-out event saw more than 160 delegates travel from across Scotland to discuss achievements so far in green skills and next steps in the move to net zero.

Continued collaboration to hit targets also came through strongly, as did the readiness of Scotland’s colleges to support employers with reskilling and upskilling.
