Highlights of the week: 
 
Tuesday: Association for Carbon Professionals local chapter meeting in Edinburgh and Hong Kong
Assembly Room: 10.30 – 12.00
Join the launch meeting of our Association for Carbon Professionals chapter in Hong Kong. This joint event from ACP and ECCI will also announce details of ECCI's new knowledge exchange centre based in Hong Kong, due to open in late 2014.
 
Thursday: Women in Renewable Energy Scotland - Networking event & Expert talk with Catherine Hokin: 10 Top Tips for Networking and Pitching
Assembly Room: 18.00 - 20.00
The first ECCI - WIRES event: an opportunity to meet other women working in renewable industries in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, and meet key note speaker Catherine Hokin, co–founder and Director of ecoConnect, and chair of Women in Cleantech. The evening will be introduced by Lindsay Leask, Senior Policy Manager at Scottish Renewables and member of the WiRES steering group.

The meeting will run simultaneously in Hong Kong - hosted by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
 
UK Energy System in Transition: Technology, Infrastructure and Investment
Training and Skills: 13.30 – 17.30
The UK Energy Research Centre, ClimateXChange and the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation invite you to a half-day workshop on UK Energy System in Transition: Technology, Infrastructure and Investment. The meeting will present and discuss recent findings by leading UK energy researchers, and consider ongoing research, policy and strategy challenges.
 
Age of Sustainable Development MOOC Debates
Assembly Room: 16.00 – 18.00
ECCI has joined forces with a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) conducted by Prof Jeffrey Sachs and Columbia University and is partnering with CIFAL Scotland to host weekly parallel debates in Edinburgh every Tuesday at 4-6pm.
