Masters programmes
One of the many strengths of our Masters programmes is how we bring together learners with practitioners to share skills and experience and work on real climate problems through partnership dissertations.
We host a range of postgraduate courses at ECCI, designed to help build a low carbon society. Our hub is home to around 200 Masters students, studying everything from carbon management to environmental sustainability.
"Taking on a Masters student to deliver a project for your organisation is a great way to bring the very latest climate knowledge into your team.” ECCI Co-director, Dr Kate Crowley
The online Carbon Management MSc is a ground-breaking development of our award-winning campus-based programme, providing students worldwide with high-level knowledge, skills and training in the business, economics and science of carbon management.
SAGES & NERC industry and policy placements
Since 2017, ECCI has worked with SAGES - a multi-disciplinary alliance that promotes collaboration between top earth and environmental researchers - and the Natural Environment Reserach Council (NERC) to offer pioneering career enhancement opportunities for PhD students.
The programmes are at the forefront of bringing academia, business and policy makers together to tackle global environmental challenges, linking students with relevant host organisations for short and longer term opportunities ranging from two weeks to 6 months.
A range of business, third and public sector organisations, working in priority areas of interest for SAGES and NERC, are matched with PhD students to work together on meaningful consultancy projects.
Find out more about NERC E3/E4 DTP placements, from the 2-week annual placement scheme part-managed by ECCI, to the 3-month student led placement scheme, available throughout the year.
