Charlotte manages low carbon business development and innovation support for ECCI as our Acting Head of Innovation. She has a track record in developing new networks and partnerships and building commercially viable businesses.
Charlotte delivers the centre’s Climate-KIC Accelerator and Greenhouse programmes, currently supporting more than 20 start-ups. She also oversees our work with NERC and SAGES and a range of Climate-KIC projects such as the City Deal Procurement Pathfinder.
Charlotte has helped more than 200 Scottish SMEs to develop cutting-edge low carbon products and services during her time at ECCI. Her work spans market intelligence, signposting to contacts and funding, and support with market testing and feasibility studies.
Charlotte works in close partnership with business and innovation support agencies, policy-makers, universities, funders and industry. This gives her an active network of contacts across the Scottish and UK business and innovation marketplace.
Charlotte joined ECCI from the Building and Construction Industry Forum. Here she supported the built environment sector to make the most of new business opportunities and deliver workforce training.
Before this, Charlotte created and managed new magazine for parents in Scotland. She secured a significant Lottery grant and developed it into a successful, self-financing business.
Charlotte has a degree in business and marketing from Napier University.
