Data, Nature & Energy: Technology for Climate Impact

Edinburgh

Data Lab

Join ECCI colleagues Data Lab for an evening meetup exploring the role of data and AI in advancing net zero, clean energy, and climate innovation.

As organisations across sectors work to decarbonise and respond to the climate crisis, data and AI are becoming increasingly important tools. Measuring environmental impact, modelling future scenarios and optimising energy systems are all data-led approaches that are central to how climate challenges are addressed.

Participants will hear from two accomplished experts in the field who will share their unique perspectives in using data to enable more sustainable practices and about ECCI's co-benefits work, led by Andrew Sudmant and Ruaidhrí Higgins-Lavery.

There will be lots of time for networking and opportunities to connect with others working in data and AI.

Speakers:

  • Dr Hannah Rudman – Director of Development and Policy, Highlands Rewilding, and Co-chair, Scottish Forum on Natural Capital
  • Dr Jassel Majevadia - Data and Analytics Leader in Energy & Mining
