Prof Yunjeong Yang is Associate Dean and Professor of International Development at the Graduate School of International and Area Studies (GSIAS), Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Seoul, Korea. Yunjeong has led various education programmes and academic consortiums working in various capacities over the last ten years since she joined HUFS in 2011. She has fulfilled various leaderships, including Program Director of HUFS-KOICA Scholarship Program in Comparative Development (2012-14) and Chair of Department of International Development Studies, and its MA Programme Director (2012-20). She is currently Chair of Department of International Studies and Programme Director for the MA and PhD in International Development (since 2021); and Associate Dean of the GSIAS (since 2020). Yunjeong’s research focuses on the role and extent of community participation in development practice.
