EICC Live: Collaborating for Climate Action

Presented by the Edinburgh International Conference Centre

Join ECCI team members for this climate-focused EICC Live session, in association with the Edinburgh Climate Compact and Edinburgh Climate Commission, where our speakers will discuss how we can all contribute to Edinburgh becoming a greener, healthier city - which is taking the lead on local climate action.

The Edinburgh Climate Compact is a growing group of Edinburgh businesses who have come together to make shared commitments and collaborate on reducing their climate impact.

Find out from members of the Edinburgh Climate Compact what they are doing, and how you can contribute to and be part of Edinburgh’s ambitions to be a thriving, sustainable and zero carbon city.

Hosted by the EICC, one of the Compact’s founding members, the event is for both members and non-members, for businesses and for people interested in supporting climate action in Edinburgh. For those not already signed up, you will have the opportunity to meet the Compact members and find out how they are benefiting from being part of it. The event will also provide the chance to:

  • Understand the commitments Compact members have made, and why they’ve made them
  • Share knowledge and insights on actions towards net zero and to embed sustainability across businesses and communities
  • Learn about the work that city partners and stakeholders are doing, and the opportunities to collaborate on projects, programmes and investment
  • Find out about the city’s sustainability plans and the transition to a zero carbon economy in Edinburgh, as well as the opportunities for businesses and communities
  • Hear how other local organisations are already benefiting from taking positive climate action

Speakers include:

  • Jamie Brogan, Head of Climate Partnerships, Edinburgh Climate Change Institute & Chair, Edinburgh Climate Commission
  • Gordon Robertson, Director of Communications & Sustainability, Edinburgh Airport
  • Dr Anita Ogilvie, Executive Strategy Manager, Edinburgh Napier University
  • Chaired by Clare Foster, Partner & Head of Clean Energy, Shepperd & Wedderburn
