In May, the Centre for Business, Climate Change and Sustainability (B-CCaS) will host an Energy, Climate and Finance Workshop, held at the University of Edinburgh Business School and sponsored by Baillie Gifford and Prometeia.

The workshop brings together leading experts, researchers, and academics in the fields of energy, climate, and finance to explore the intersections of these crucial disciplines. The event promises engaging discussions, insightful presentations, and opportunities to connect with other participants.

  • The programme is centred around three themes:
  • Climate change, economics and finance Where is climate finance going?
  • Climate change and energy systems

Speakers include ECCI Co-Director Stuart Haszeldine Margherita Giuzio from the European Central Bank, Hannah Bloomfield of Newcastle University, Ruixun Zhang of Peking University, Simon Scheidegger of HEC Lausanne and Dominik Moest of TU Dresden. You can view our full programme here.

There will be ample opportunities for networking, with catering and refreshments throughout the conference, and a welcome drinks reception on the evening of Wednesday 8 May.
