European Hyperloop Week 2023

Co-organised by HYPED - The University of Edinburgh’s Hyperloop Society

The European Hyperloop Week is an annual international event dedicated to the ‘transport of the future’, the Hyperloop*. The event is co-organised by HYPED - The University of Edinburgh’s Hyperloop Society.

This event enables university students, guest speakers, companies and hyperloop enthusiasts to discuss the technology, feasibility and scalability of the Hyperloop.

European Hyperloop Week (EHW) 2023 will be from 17th-23rd July 2023 in Edinburgh, primarily at The King’s Buildings Campus, with the Public Day (23rd July) in City Centre.

This event brings together the international Hyperloop Community for collaboration, sharing of information and networking. Each day will give student teams from around the world the opportunity to show their groundbreaking Hyperloop prototype designs to the public and to the industry representatives.

*Hyperloop is predicted to be more eco-friendly than road vehicles, with researchers calculating the effects on road traffic of building a 300km Hyperloop in northern Germany dedicated to freight would amount to the equivalent of removing thousands of trucks from the road, including reduced air and noise pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, congestion and road accidents.
