How can finance support a just transition in Edinburgh & Scotland?

Place-Based Climate Action Network (PCAN)

Hosted by the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI), the LSE’s Grantham Research Institute (GRI), and Leeds University’s Sustainability Research Institute (SRI) in partnership with UK Finance and the Place-Based Climate Action Network (PCAN).

The aim of the workshop is to identify how finance can be mobilised for the just transition in Edinburgh and Scotland, drawing on the expertise of national experience and the expertise of the city’s finance sector, its public authorities, business, trade unions and local communities.

PCAN is an ESRC-supported Network that brings together the research community and decision-makers in the public, private and third sectors. It involves three city-based climate commissions (Belfast, Edinburgh and Leeds) and two thematic platforms (business and finance). The Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation is lead partner in Scotland.
