Land use & climate change adaptation in Scotland: insights

Presented by ECCI residents Adaptation Scotland

Through wide-ranging interviews with land managers, estates and community groups Adaptation Scotland has explored how to enhance climate change adaptation and resilience in the context of land use and ownership in Scotland, leading to this 90-minute workshop to share the findings and discuss the draft policy recommendations with the interview participants and wider public.

Join this workshop to:

  • Learn about how the management and ownership of land relates to our ability to respond and prepare to the impacts of climate change
  • Understand different stakeholders' views on land use, land ownership, community resilience and climate change adaptation
  • Hear from the Scottish Government representatives and others on what the insights mean for enhancing climate change adaptation in Scotland, Just Transition and Land Reform
  • Discuss the report insights with other participants from land, climate, biodiversity, local and national organisations and share your views on the draft policy recommendations
