SAGES Stories: Scottish science for a climate-ready future

Online

The very best of SAGES science

A new diverse and exciting online events series that showcases the breadth of scientific research across Scotland will be available from February 2021.

Held in the run up to COP26 in Glasgow, SAGES are organising free monthly events to engage adults and families across the UK and beyond. From Arctic sea ice to Highland peatlands, members will be sharing pioneering, positive stories of how researchers work together to understand our world and provide solutions to the climate emergency.

Each month is led by a different theme or forum and showcases the very best of SAGES science, from early-career research projects to international collaborations. If you’re interested in adventures in cold climates, join us in February to find out more about the Antarctic Thwaites Glacier.

If you’re more interested in staying closer to home, join us in March to find out how studying Scotland’s past landscapes are helping us engineer the future.

Join throughout the year in sharing, learning and building up to this major climate milestone.

Take part in the conversation on social media with #SAGESStories.
