Scotland’s Climate Week is back!
Climate Week is an annual Scottish Government initiative to develop understanding of the global climate emergency and celebrate Scotland’s leadership in climate action.
This year, Climate Week will centre on the run up to COP26, to showcase the leading climate action already underway across Scotland’s private and public sectors and encourage further action before, during and beyond COP26 that demonstrates our collective national endeavour to protect the planet we love.
This autumn, the Scottish Government want climate action to become the hot topic of conversation at workplaces, homes and community spaces up and down the country all the way through to the COP26 summit and beyond.
Businesses and organisations are being asked to take the opportunity to shout about how they’re already making changes in response to the climate emergency, and to bring staff, families and communities into the conversation around what more can be done as we head to COP26 in November. Organisers are also encouraging businesses and organisations to make a ‘COP26 call to action’ pledge to carry out over the two weeks of the summit.
To support Climate Week, the Scottish Government will very shortly be publishing an organisational toolkit on www.NetZeroNation.scot. This will include key messages, discussion guides, examples positive behaviours and more detail on pledging. We will also shortly be posting details of events for Climate Week.
