Scotland’s Historic Environment: The Key to a Climate Resilient Future

Part of the Climate Ambition Zone at the Lighthouse

Scotland’s historic environment is both at risk from the impacts of climate change, but also part of the solution to the climate crisis. At this event, hosted by Historic Environment Scotland, we will explore the work underway across our sector to understand the risks and impacts of climate change.

Attendees will also hear about the features of our historic environment that can make it resilient to the risks and impacts of climate change and then explore the role the historic environment has in creating and shaping climate resilient places and spaces across Scotland.

Featuring ECCI Co-Director Dr Kate Crowley.

Anna Beswick, from ECCI partners and residents Sniffer, will be chairing the discussion on two areas:

-          What are the attributes of the historic environment that can be inherently resilient against the impacts of climate change.

-          What are the attributes of the historic environment that can build resilience of places and people to the impacts of climate change.
