Standing Up For Science Workshop - Edinburgh

This all day workshop encourages Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to make their voices heard in public debates about science.

ECRs will meet scientists who have engaged with the media, learn from respected science journalists, hear from policymakers on how to inform policy, and receive support on how to talk about complex science topics.

Workshop places are free, and include lunch and refreshments. 

Voice of Young Science (VoYS)

Sense about Science is an independent charity that promotes the public interest in sound science and evidence. Voice of Young Science (VoYS) is the charity’s growing international community of Early Career Researchers (ECRs) who are inspired and motivated to take responsibility for the public conversation about science and evidence. The initiative provides training, resources, and ongoing opportunities to build the confidence and skills of ECRs to engage in the public discourse around science, research and the research process.
