Sustainable Finance Policy, Practice and Greenwashing Detection

Presented by the University of Edinburgh Business School and Edinburgh Futures Institute.

An evening panel discussing EU Sustainable Finance policy and how the global regulatory environment on sustainable finance shapes investment decision making. In addition, we will explore what greenwashing is and how the financial sector can disincentivise greenwashing practices across the investment value chain.

The evening discussion will be chaired by Dr Theodor Cojoianu, Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Finance & Member of the EU Platform on Sustainable Finance (2020 - 2025) and will feature deep insights from:

  • Lily Dai, Senior Research Lead, Sustainable Investment, FTSE Russel
  • Serge Giacomotto, Policy Officer on Sustainable Finance, DG Clima, European Commission
  • Professor Chris Speed, Chair of Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh
  • Fabiola Schneider, Assistant Professor in Finance, Dublin City University Business School

The event starts at 6.30pm (doors open 6pm) and finishes with a networking drinks reception at 8pm.
