Towards Resilient and Responsive Energy: D-RES Project Showcase

ECCI

University of Edinburgh and University of Bath

Join organisers for an engagement event hosted by the Universities of Edinburgh and Bath, featuring insights from the D-RES Project.

D-RES Project

A collaboration project led by Dr Desen Kirli from the University of Edinburgh along with Dr Laiz Souto from University of Bath, the D-RES project developed weather-informed adaptive strategies for grid management amidst increasing EV penetration and worsened climate risk which pose new challenges to the traditional energy management models and networks.

This is a free event, open to anyone interested in energy resilience and responsive energy systems.

Organisers will present the D-RES Project objectives and vision to utilise digital twinning platform DAFNI to coordinate electric vehicles (EVs) to strengthen grid resilience during extreme weather conditions, ensuring continuity of supply as we embrace a future with increased renewable resources.

Organisers plan to host presentations from other projects and organisations, please do get in touch if you would be open to presenting your efforts/view on resilient and responsive energy systems. Contact co-lead Dr Desen Kirli desen.kirli@ed.ac.uk.

This is a great opportunity for networking and exchanging ideas and exploring future opportunities for energy projects through new collaborations.
