Presented by the new University of Strathclyde Centre for Sustainable Development.
Final event in the series marking the new Centre will focus on Inspiring Children’s Futures.
Responding to children’s distinct needs, and realising their full range of rights and opportunities, is the inherent challenge in achieving the SDG16 of peaceful, just and inclusive societies for all.
This webinar will be led by Professor Jennifer Davidson of the Institute for Inspiring Children’s Futures, with Professor Ann Skelton (University of Pretoria and a Member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child); and Dr Romina Boarini (OECD Senior Advisor and Coordinator of the Inclusive Growth Initiative to inform better investments in child well-being).
Together they will examine the priorities, mechanisms and next steps in fulfilling this global ambition for children, particularly in light of COVID-19, which has abruptly thrust the rights and well-being of children and families into greater risk around the world.
