Women At The Source: Walk, Talk and Collage

ECCI

One Drop's Women at the Source initiative

A walk from ECCI to St Margaret's Loch followed by a presentation by OneDrop, Q&A and creative collaging session. Free.

Imagine your day starting not with a tap, but with a five-mile walk.

Join organisers for an evening of movement, learning, and creativity in solidarity with the millions of women and girls around the world who walk long distances every day, carrying heavy loads, simply to collect water.

This event is hosted by a Women at the Source ambassador as part of One Drop's global initiative, which aligns with the United Nations' 2026 focus on Water and Gender Equality

This event is free. There is no obligation to donate. It is simply a space to learn, connect, and be part of a growing global conversation.

The evening will run as follows:

  • 6:30 pm, meet at ECCI: A short walk to St Margaret's Loch, Holyrood, symbolic of the daily journey millions of women make to collect water. Participants are invited to carry something heavy to reflect the physical reality many women face.
  • 7:30–8:15 pm, ECCI Conference Room: An online live 15-minute presentation from the One Drop team on water and gender equality, followed by a Q&A.
  • 8:15–9:15 pm, Collage & Conversation: A creative collaging session inspired by One Drop's Social Art for Behaviour Change methodology, alongside open discussion on water and gender equality.
