ECCI evidence informs new Climate Change Plan for Scotland
This week The Scottish Government laid its finalised Climate Change Plan in Parliament.
The Plan sets out a vision of climate action that includes warmer homes, cleaner air and health benefits from active travel. Framed in this way, climate policy begins to look less like an environmental task and more like part of a wider program of public value.
To support turning this vision into action, our first ECCI evidence brief highlights how co-benefits – the social, economic and environmental impacts of climate actions – can support and strengthen collaborative climate action and contribute to delivering the Plan - a timely message for the next Government and Parliament who will soon seek to steer Scotland towards a sustainable, resilient and fairer future for us all.
