2025/26 Adaptation Scotland Programme Progress Report

Based at ECCI, the Adaptation Scotland programme supports public bodies, businesses, and communities in Scotland to increase resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change.  

Each year, an annual report is produced to provide an overview of the Adaptation Scotland programme’s activities and outline progress towards the five programme outcomes, delivery against the programme plan, and trends in seven key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • More than 650 individuals and organisations supported to take effective adaptation action
  • Public Sector Climate Adaptation Network (PSCAN) has 65 active members benchmarking themselves with the Adaptation Capability Framework
  • More than 250 climate vulnerable communities supported to take locallyled adaptation action
  • Adaptation Scotland resources used by 14 island communities to build climate resilience
  • 36 workshops and events help to support effective adaptation action
  • Over 2000 views of business support tools over the year
  • 4 New Climate Ready Regions supported to establish
  • Linkedin followers increased by 95% and over 13,000 members reached
  • Training on business climate resilience for 61 businesses and business advisors
  • Supported adaptation action to be embedded across 14 Scottish Government policy areas
  • 33,000 visitors over the year to the new adaptation.scot website

Adaptation Scotland

Adaptation Scotland is a programme funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Verture to help organisations, businesses and communities across Scotland prepare for and address the impacts of climate change. based at ECCI, Verture is Scotland's climate resillience charity.
