Scottish Climate Intelligence Service Launch
The newly established Scottish Climate Intelligence Service (SCIS) works with all 32 of Scotland’s local authorities to build capacity and support climate action at the scale and pace needed to deliver Scotland's Climate Change Plan as well as wider benefits for adaptation, nature, health and equality.
The SCIS is being delivered in partnership by ECCI and the Improvement Service, jointly funded by Scottish Government and all 32 local authorities.
The SCIS aims to introduce climate impact into the decision making of local authorities and their local stakeholders at all levels. We will bring smarter tools, greater consistency and more support to drive climate change action at a local level.
You can find out more about SCIS and how to get involved at our launch event on Thursday 26 September - part of Scotland's Climate Week.
This introductory session will explore the origins of the SCIS, what it means for local authorities, their partners and communities. Speakers include ECCI's Clare Wharmby and Orren Shalit from ClimateView.
