Sustainable Scotland Network Conference playback
On Wednesday 24 May, Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) hosted its annual Conference, Public Sector Climate Action: Working Together to Deliver. The sold out event packed in some fantastic speakers, panel discussions and five breakout sessions.
Part of the ECCI team, SSN is Scotland’s public sector network on sustainability and climate change.
Máiri McAllan, Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero and Just Transition opened the event to over 350 attendees. Attendees heard from a range of speakers on public sector climate leadership and key policy developments, with sessions from Chief Executive of Public Health Scotland, Paul Johnston and Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Professor Marion Bain, as well as presentations from Leader of Dumfries and Galloway Council, Councillor Gail Macgregor and Phil Raines, Domestic Climate Action at the Scottish Government.
The conference highlighted the strong need and desire to build on progress with further collaboration and transformative action in the public sector and beyond, if we are to tackle the climate, nature and health emergency.
SSN will share more event recordings and resources shortly but in the meantime, you can find the plenary recordings here.
