Climate-KIC at ECCI sponsors Scotland’s top prize for green businesses
Climate-KIC and ECCI are set to sponsor the VIBES Micro Business Award - the top prize for the country’s best green businesses with fewer than 10 employees.
Now in their 19th year, the VIBES Awards urge Scotland’s businesses to challenge their everyday working practices and embrace the economic opportunity of sustainability.
40 finalists are selected across nine individual award categories which aim to recognise the different ways organisations are implementing environmental best practice in their daily activity - from reducing the use of plastic or developing a new product or service.
ECCI and Climate-KIC supported business IntelliDigest will compete for the Innovation Award, joining a long list of ECCI-supported former VIBES winners and nominees including Celtic Renewables and Dryden Aqua. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Glasgow on 14 November.
ECCI is the official Scottish partner of Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest climate innovation initiative, giving low carbon start-ups funding and support to build rock-solid business models and take their target markets by storm. The companies taking part to date have scooped more than £1 million investment and 50 awards.
