ECCI seeks start-ups for free expert research offer

Are you a start-up, SME or third sector organisation? Looking for some PhD student support at no cost? Get in touch!

ECCI has just launched two of its successful innovation programmes again for 2018/19 - the SAGES Innovation and NERC Consultancy Innovation programmes.

The programmes are each on the hunt for low carbon businesses start-ups or SMEs and third sector organisations that have a meaningful research project that would be appropriate for a SAGES or NERC-funded PhD student. With a focus on geosciences subjects, the students' research areas of expertise include:

  • climate adaptation and mitigation
  • environmental pollution
  • food and land use
  • global climate change and weather patterns
  • water and water governance

All internships are fully funded, with no cost to the business, and run from October 2018 - April 2019.  Students can be based at ECCI or at the company premises for the duration of the internship. The placements are for 5 - 10 days over a maximum of 10 weeks.
