Ed Craig nominated for business leader award

ECCI’s Head of Enterprise & Innovation Ed Craig has been shortlisted in the category of “Inspirational Business Leader” by The Committee of Causeway, Ireland Scotland Business Exchange.

Causeway is a not-for-profit membership based organisation connecting business people from Ireland and Scotland who wish to identify and explore new collaborative business opportunities.

The nomination comes off the back of Ed's lead role in ECCI's partnership with the Climate-KIC Sustainable Nation project in Dublin, supporting green education, entrepreneurial support and key innovation initiatives including green finance. ECCI and its Scottish networks have acted as a 'critical friend' to the development of low carbon policy and innovation eco-systems in Ireland.

Ed will be up against stiff completion for the prestigious award including Martin Tangney OBE of Celtic Renewables, Sean Fallon from Allied Irish Bank and Jackie Toland of Parent Network Scotland.

The glitzy awards night takes place at the Glasgow City Chambers on Friday 15 June, hosted by the Rt Hon Lord Provost of Glasgow, MSP Keith Brown and visiting Irish Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach Joe McHugh.

Ed Craig said:

”I am delighted to be shortlisted for this award and in its first year and will continue to work relentlessly to strengthen the obvious synergies and opportunities between Scotland and Ireland working together to progress towards a zero carbon economy."
