Dan leads ClimateXChange, overseeing its work to inform and underpin the policies required to deliver Scotland's low carbon ambitions.
Before joining ClimateXChange, Dan was a Senior Researcher on climate change and resource use issues for the Scottish Parliament Information Centre.
He has also held a number of policy, research and management roles in the environmental NGO sector. This includes seven years as Head of Policy for WWF Scotland and a period as the charity’s Acting Director.
Dan has a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Plymouth. He also holds a PhD in soil erosion and land use change from the University of Edinburgh.
