Marc Metzger is professor of Environment and Society within the Research Institute of Geography and the Lived Environment at the School of GeoSciences, University of Edinburgh, and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Forests and Landscapes.
His research focuses on the potential impacts of global environmental change on ecosystems and the services they provide to society.
He is also interested in foresight analysis and is keen to develop scenario planning tools to prepare for an uncertain future with global environmental changes, as well as trying to contribute to the development of robust analytical methods to quantify stock and change in ecosystem resources.
