Stuart is the primary point of contact for commercial engagement at the University of Edinburgh’s School of GeoSciences.
He is responsible for commercially-funded research across the School. This includes commercialisation, the development of IP and maximising the relevance and impact of university research through industrial collaboration. Stuart has a particular focus on satellite earth observation, natural resource development and mitigation strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
He maintains close partnerships with industry, the UK’s Research Councils, Innovation UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network, Catapult centres and innovation centres.
