CXC welcomes new team member

Sarah Beattie-Smith has taken up the post of Project and Information Manager (Maternity cover) for ClimateXChange, Scotland’s centre of expertise on climate change based at ECCI.

Sarah joins ClimateXChange after working as Senior Climate and Energy Policy Officer at WWF Scotland.

ClimateXChange brings together researchers and policy-makers, acting as a knowledge broker between the two to create evidence-based policies for a low carbon, climate ready Scotland.

Sarah said: “I’m really pleased to be joining the fantastic team at ClimateXChange and to have the chance to work in such an interesting and important field.

With the Scottish Government’s Climate Change Plan and Energy Strategy now complete it’s a really exciting time to be working at the interface between research and policy on this agenda.

“I’m looking forward to working with the Scottish Government and research community to help identify and deliver analysis and evidence that can support how Scotland’s low carbon goals and adapt to a changing climate.”
