WeeWash makes a splash

WeeWash - one of ECCI’s newest Climate-KIC start-ups - has been selected for the final of the Scottish Power Iberdrola Entrepreneurial Energy Challenge 2018.

The company's tiny portable dishwasher is specifically designed for small households, enabling singles to move away from resource-intensive hand washing - reducing water and energy demands.

Company founders Pierre and Francisco - who joined ECCI’s Climate-KIC Accelerator programme last month - will compete with three other companies for a cash prize of £13,000 in September.

Pierre said: “WeeWash will save precious water and energy by bringing the personal dishwasher to the world.

"We're really looking forward to the final of the Iberdrola Entrepreneurial Energy Challenge - we know it’s not the idea, but the execution that matters.

"We believe Climate-KIC at ECCI will give a massive boost to our chances of success.”

WeeWash is also currently running a survey in the UK through a market research agency to help them find out more about their customers - all those who take part will be in with a chance to win £50.
