Simon Shackley is Director of Postgraduate Teaching in the School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh as well as Programme Director for MSc Carbon Management.
He is a Reader in Climate Policy. His main research focus is decarbonisation of the energy system, including innovation, policy, institutional change, dialogue and values. He works on the social aspects of biochar, CCS and carbon removal projects.
