AccelerateHER Awards double win

Two ECCI residents have won the chance to promote their businesses internationally after triumphing in the AccelerateHER Awards.

Climate-KIC at ECCI start-ups Ifeyinwa Kanu and Monika Tomecka, voted winners in the Growth category of the awards, held on International Women's Day, will get the chance to present their firms to investors in either Dubai or California later this year.

Ifeyinwa founded IntelliDigest, a manufacturer of a new anaerobic food waste digestion systems. Monika is the founder executive and director of uFraction8, a business which makes scalable filtration systems for the biotechnology sector.

Now in their third year, the AccelerateHER awards, sponsored by Skyscanner, are open to businesswomen whose companies demonstrate strong growth potential. The competition provides an ideal platform for participants to attract investment into their businesses.
